WARRANT FOR SPECIAL TOWN MEETING

TO: Retta Stetler, Resident in the Town of Ealge Lake, in the County of Aroostook and State of Maine. 

GREETINGS:

    You are hereby notified that a Special Town Meeting in the Town of Eagle Lake will be held at the Eagle Lake Town Office at 36 Devoe Brook Road, in said Town of May 20, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. for the purpose of acting on the following articles, to wit:

Article 1: To choose a Moderator to preside at tsaid meeting.

Article 2: To authorize the Board of Selectperson to discontinue ownership of Carter Street including maintaining plowing it. Possession of road will be deeded over to Fish River Rural Health who have purchased all the buildings on and around Carter Street excluding one residential home that is on Aroostook Road and the corner of Carter Street. With terms and conditions that they deem in the best interest of the Town of Eagle Lake.

Signed at the Town of Eagle Lake on May 20, 2026, by a majority of all Selectperson of the Town of Eagle Lake.

     I certify that I have notified the voters of the Town of Eagle Lake of the time and place of the within Special Town Meeting by posting attested copies of the within Warrant at the Eagle Lake Post Office, Norstate Federal Credit Union and Katahdin Trust all on Aroostook Road; Municipal Building on Devoe Brook Road; and at the Sly-Brook Road, the same being conspicuous, public places within said Town of Eagle Lake on May 7, 2026, which is at least seven (7) days prior to said special town meeting on May 20, 2026.
